Over the years, Ricky has climbed his way to the top of the industry with his many talents including performing, producing, and directing. Ricky is a multi-award-winning actor and producer with an exceptional track record, including collaborations with top studios such as Brazzers. He is also a dynamic entrepreneur and the owner and main talent at Ricky's Room, his own paysite and production company, where he is committed to supporting emerging talent. Models who have worked with him can attest to his kindness and his authenticity. He is known for his philosophy of community over competition, uplifting his colleagues and making sure they are comfortable, safe, and happy.
Congratulations on becoming our newest and first ever male Pornhub Brand Ambassador! What was your initial reaction when you first got the news?
I was stoked! I have been working with Pornhub here and there on past projects and the team is amazing. I love the vibe and energy they bring. I was honored and I am excited to represent the brand!
Tell us more about your ambassadorship with Pornhub and what initiatives you will be working on with our team?
I will be educating sex workers and performers in our community on the best ways to utilize the site to help their brand, as well as help onboard new talent to the platform.
How has Pornhub helped contribute to your success?
I have done well on Pornhub. I am at nearly a billion video views. I feel like my brand got more exposure once I started posting on the platform.
You have a long history of award nominations and wins, including an XBIZ Award; Best New Site for Ricky’s Room. What are 3 things you think contribute to your recognition and success in the industry?
First, I think having a great team helps. The crew I have for Ricky’s Room is incredible. We have been together for a couple years, so I think we all complement each other well. Second, I would say pre-production. I spend a solid amount of time making sure everything is right in addition to making sure the vision is relayed properly to all parties involved. And finally, comfort. I like to focus on comfort in this business. I feel like it can sometimes be a little awkward, so I like to hyper focus on comfort. I believe in good vibes and energy, so I make it a point to uplift and support everyone involved.
What are some of the projects you are working on now and when can viewers expect to see them launch?
I have a new site called Sex Tapes that should be launching in May. And I have another site called Ricky’s Resort that should be launching June or July. I am stoked for both! There is one more site that I am working on with my videographer that we will start shooting soon.
You are often wearing Pornhub merchandise on your social media accounts – unsponsored by the way! What is your favorite item to wear and why?
My 2020 Pornhub Awards nominee shirt is the best fitting shirt I have. It is one of my favorite shirts, and Sana at Pornhub sent me a couple more because she saw me wearing it a lot. The black hoodie is also dope.
How do you incorporate the philosophy of community over competition into your work on camera and off the camera?
I am an open book when it comes to everything I have learned or encountered in this industry. I love the idea of everyone networking and sharing their knowledge to lift each other up. As a community we are much stronger together and when we help each other it does wonders for current and future generations. It is a very independent industry. Everyone has their own fans, so I think it is great to see more performers collab and expand their fanbases.
What is one subject you can lose yourself for hours talking about?
Manga. I read a lot of manga in my spare time. Jujustu Kaisen, Bleach, Demon Slayer, One Piece, Tokyo Ghoul, Deadman Wonderland, Gants, Chainsaw Man, Berserk, Hunter x Hunter, Naruto, Fairy Tail, Yu Yu Hakusho. I love the creativity and the life lessons manga teaches.
How do you unwind after a long week? Do you have any hobbies or passions you want to tell us about?
Lately, I have been going for runs. I find those to be meditative. It helps me clear my mind. I traveled out of the country last year for 3 weeks and it was great for my mental health, so I am going to pick up the habit of getting out of the country at least once a year.
What goals do you hope to achieve in the next 2-3 years?
I am going to expand my network of sites and start doing more features. I plan to start expanding in the types of scenes that I am producing. I also want to expand on representing talent and helping younger talent navigate this industry with fewer hurdles. I think I am going to hang up the cleats from a performing standpoint and focus on producing/directing in 1-2 years, so I am excited for that next chapter in my career.
