Pornhub Announces 3rd Annual “Pornhub Cares” Scholarship Contest
Leading Adult Entertainment Platform to Award $25,000 to an Outstanding Post-Secondary Student Contributing to a Better Future for the World
New York, NY (August 15, 2017) – Pornhub, the premiere online destination for adult entertainment, today announced the launch of its third annual $25,000 Pornhub Cares Scholarship contest. For this year’s contest, Pornhub is soliciting outstanding post-secondary students from around the globe in all fields of study who are contributing to a better future for the world. The company will be accepting applications until midnight ET on October 31, 2017, with the winner being chosen by an esteemed panel of judges and announced in November.

Applications for this year’s Pornhub Cares Scholarship require candidates to submit an essay between 1,000 and 1,500 words in length, addressing the following the question: “How is your work contributing to a better future for the world?” In addition, applicants can submit an optional video clip further illustrating their response, as well as an official school transcript and professional resume. An esteemed panel of judges will evaluate candidates on specific criteria, including leadership abilities, their ability to make the world a better place as well as creativity and originality in approach. Candidates for the Pornhub Cares Scholarship are required to have a GPA of 3.2 or higher, be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited post-secondary institution and be 18 years of age or older at the time of application.
Pornhub debuted the Pornhub Cares Scholarship in 2015, awarding it to San Antonio, Texas native MaryAnn Uribe for her outstanding academic accomplishments, indelible personality and ability to make others happy in the face of adversity. The following year, for its subsequent iteration open to women pursuing STEM-related studies, Pornhub awarded the Pornhub Cares Scholarship to Natalie Nevarez, a University of Michigan Research Assistant pursuing a PhD in Biopsychology.
